Photos: Earthquake damage to Nepal's Durbar Squares

Ujaya Shakya, who writes a regular 'Dispatch from Nepal' column for Campaign Asia-Pacific, sent in these before and after photos showing damage to the country's Durbar Squares from the devastating earthquake that struck the country recently. Please see the related-article link at the bottom of the page for Shakya's appeal for help from the international community to restore these significant sites. The first three images show the squares in Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and Patan before the earthquake. The remainder of the photos show the same areas after.
