PEOPLE MOVES

Criteo appointed Hanming Huang as managing director of South Asia and Greater China. He joins following almost 10 years at Yahoo, where he was head of platform and exchange for APAC. Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for growth strategy across Australia, China, India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, reporting to Yvonne Chang, executive managing director of Criteo APAC.

Alyssiah Tsui has been promoted to partner at consultancy and marcomms M&A advisory firm SI Partners in Hong Kong. Tsui joined the firm in 2013 from creative network, IRIS, to grow the firm’s Asia operations.

IPG Mediabrands has appointed Simon Talvard-Balland to be head of digital solutions APAC for Reprise.  He was previously regional director at Resolution Media where he led the Unilever account across APAC.

Alexander Leung joined Lalamove as regional marketing campaign manager overseeing the Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Manila markets. He was previously at Lamplight Analytics as head of PR and partnerships.

Y&R Philippines appointed copywriter Rey Tiempo, previously ECD at Dentsu Philippines / Dentsu Jayme Syfu, as chief creative officer.

Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia appointed WPP fellow Christopher Knight as an integrated strategic planner, reporting to Arindam Chatterjee, regional planning director. Knight was most recently at J Walter Thompson London, where he worked on Nespresso.

PubMatic appointed Nicholas Kovac as country manager in Japan. With experience at OpenX, A9 (an Amazon Company) and Google he will be based in Tokyo and will report to Jason Barnes, vice president of Asia Pacific.

Fitch appointed Simon Bell as managing director for Singapore, Nikki Lin as managing director in China, and Janice Siu as business director in Hong Kong. (Read more)

Zorba appointed Xavier Brochart as general manager in Shanghai and promoted Sandra Hassler to general manager of Singapore and global VP of Lifesciences.

Digitz appointed Adeeqa Nazir, previously head of PR for Starcom, as head of PR in Pakistan.

BUSINESS WINS

Hair-product company Wella appointed Mango Sydney and Mango Auckland as its public relations agency partner after a competitive pitch in July. Mango will deliver services including communications planning, creative, public relations, experiential, sponsorship and digital for all brands within the Wella portfolio. 

Hush Puppies hired Wakhra Studios as its digital agency in Pakistan. (Read more)

Upcoming new mall and lifestyle destination Jewel Changi Airport hired Ninemer PR as its communications and social media agency of record. The agency's 12-month remit includes media relations, influencer engagement, and digital communications work to promote the new site.
