Ikon appointed Jason Smith as agency director in Sydney, reporting to managing partner James Sawyer. Smith has experience at Joy, Bohemia, Zenith and Carat in Australia and the UK. In the Brisbane office, Ikon appointed Richard Woof, previously with OgilvyOne, as client service director, reporting to managing partner Chris Ernst.

Rosewood Hotel Group has appointed Robert Cheng vice president of brand marketing and communications. Cheng was formerly group vice president of marketing for The Peninsula Hotels. 

MullenLowe named Kanika Mathur as APAC COO Unilever based in Singapore. Prior to joining MullenLowe, Mathur was senior vice president, digital and content carketing at Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing.

Omnicom Media Group Thailand appointed Jirasda Limsuwan as head of digital to work with OMD and PHD on digital products and drive innovation across all client portfolios.

Havas Group acquired Malaysian digital agency Immerse, which will be integrated into the Group’s creative operations and rebranded as Havas Immerse. Founded in 2004, Immerse has 50 employees and clients in Malaysia and Singapore including Volvo, Mitsubishi Motors, F&N, Wrigley and Unilever brands including Dove and Magnum.

FWD appointed Lion & Lion to lead digital strategy and creative production for its ecommerce launch in Vietnam. The first campaign launched last week.

The Walt Disney Company appointed Amit Malhotra as country head of Singapore and Malaysia, while continuing to oversee the operations of the linear television business and local content production for South East Asia.

Iris appointed Paroma Ganguly as planning director in India. She was most recently lead of Citizen Dentsu, Dentsu’s government and social sector practice.

Hong Kong VC fund Beyond Ventures appointed FleishmanHillard as its PR agency. Seeking to reinvigorate Hong Kong's start-up scene, Beyond Ventures launches Fleishman will handle media relation and communications strategy to raise the fund's profile.

Mindshare has named Sudipto Roy as managing director of Team Unilever for AAR (APAC, Africa, Middle East, Turkey, and Russia) based in Singapore. Roy was previously CEO of developing markets for WPP's Tenth Avenue. 

Dentsu X Singapore appointed Joao Flores, most recently ECD at HorizonFCB Dubai, as head of creative. Prior HorizonFCB he was creative director at Cheil Iberia

Aviva Investors appointed Peggy Wu as head of marketing for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. She was most recently head of marketing for Southeast Asia at Janus Henderson Investors. 

OMD Australia was retained as media agency for Beiersdorf following a three-month pitch. The skincare company, with brands such as Nivea and Elastoplast has been with OMD for more than 14 years.

Fox Networks Group Asia (FNGA) launched FOX+ in Hong Kong. The video-streaming service offers TV series streamed same day as the US, first-run Hollywood films, Chinese series and movies, live sports and events, and documentaries. 

Wieden+Kennedy Delhi appointed Lubna Khan as head of strategy. A clinically trained psychologist, she was previously national strategy head at Leo Burnett Orchard and has worked with brands including Amazon, P&G, ITC, Nestle, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Suntory, Maybank, Samsung, LG, and Airtel.
