The newly formed Asian Academy Awards (AAA) has appointed Ricky Ow, President of Turner Asia Pacific, as its first-ever chairman.  Ow, an industry veteran, will also lead the advisory group which oversees the integrity of the Awards and act as the international ambassador for the AAA.

RedMart hired TSLA as its lead creative agency in Singapore. The agency will handle integrated creative services for the online grocery brand end-to-end. 

Young Kim joined Geometry Global Korea as ECD, having most recently been the creative director/partner at Suitman Entertainment and Hakuhodo Japan prior to that. Kim’s career began at Wieden + Kennedy in Oregon while he later moved to Tokyo to set up the company’s operation there.

UM has appointed Ben Tuff to the newly created role of Chief Product Officer, UM APAC to oversee UM research, analytics, and decision sciences effective immediately. Tuff has worked both client side (fourteen years in PepsiCo businesses) and agency (eight years in WPP and Omnicom). The former global marketing advisor at Fanfare Global, and managing partner at MEC Singapore & Global Solutions will be based in the UM regional headquarters in Singapore.

Reuter Communications announced the launch of Reuter Intelligence, an in-house research and insights capability for luxury brands in China. It has appointed former Kantar research director, Lee Folland to lead the business as director of research and insights.

Geometry Global Singapore has been appointed as the lead marketing agency by Orica, provider of mining, civil blasting and ground control, following a pitch. The agency has since launched a global B2B and digital communications campaign for one of Orica's blasting systems.

Fanny Landrieu has anchored herself as the new client service director at Artefact China, previously known as NetBooster Asia. She was the digital business director at French-Chinese independent creative boutique Fred & Farid for the past two years prior to this.

TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno Philippines named Ryan Jason Paculan as strategic planning director. The promotion was in recognition of his contribution in his previous capacity as senior strategic planner.  In his new leadership position, Paculan will oversee the planning requirements of brands such as Nissan, McDonald's, Bench, and Oishi.

Jan-Philipp Jahn, who was managing director for China at Serviceplan Group, just became managing director of global key accounts for the agency. Jahn, a Hamburg native, has worked at Serviceplan for 12 years and moved to China in 2015.

Vice Media appointed Serene Lee as its Asia Pacific head of sales to establish a commercial team based in Singapore. She will now be working with Vice Asia Pacific CEO Hosi Simon after previously helming the role of a senior vice president at Forbes Asia.

Shootsta appointed Martin Liu as business development manager, North Asia for the expansion into Hong Kong, allowing the growth of existing client services along with new business growth.

Excitel Broadband in India has picked Creativeland Asia as their creative partner, responsible for creative communication strategy, planning and execution for the Excitel brand.
