Catch up on past people moves and business wins

R/GA announced the departure of APAC VP and ECD Bob Mackintosh, who will take time out from the industry and has plans to spend the rest of the year traveling with his family. He was with R/GA for two years. The agency said it will announce a replacement shortly.

Ogilvy has announced that Shirley Tay is returning to the agency as executive group director in Singapore, effective immediately. In her new role, Tay will drive integrated marketing work across industries in Singapore and internationally. Tay began her marketing career with Ogilvy in Singapore but most recently was chief executive officer of Y&R Singapore and also served as managing director and founding partner at creative agency Zoo Group. 

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) has appointed Elgen Kua to be director of corporate communications effective immediately. Prior to joining SCMP, Elgen was the marketing and communications director at the global sports agency MP & Silva. 

Social media agency Goodstuph, founded by Pat Law in 2010, welcomes a new executive creative director in the form of Alan Leong. Leong joins from J. Walter Thompson, where he was head of social content and regional creative director for HSBC. 

Independent media agency The Media Shop hired Jessicca Lyok  as managing partner and media director and Chia Hui Ru as the media manager for its integrated team. Lyok has more than 20 years of local and regional media experience and will work with Gary Tang, MD of The Media Shop, to boost the company's media offerings and manage the integrated team’s productivity,  ensuring quality control.
