Carlsberg 'hires' beer tasters in Malaysia
Carlsberg Malaysia received 18,000 job applications in two weeks after it placed a 'job ad' seeking beer tasters, who would 'earn' a paycheck of RM10,000 (US$2,373) for eight hours of 'work' recruiting and engaging consumers. The winners, Wilson Lim and Jeffvinder Sandhu, beat out 350 hopefuls who were asked to submit a photo or video and 25 who made it to an interview stage. You can view video of the contest at the brand's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/CarlsbergMY.
