It has appointed Sushiv Mathur as program director – Dell APJ. He joins the agency from WPP shop Enfatico in Singapore, where he was APJ online production director with Team Dell.  He has also spent time with Wunderman in India, working on the Nokia account and Enfatico Sydney.

VML Qais has also named Komal Shukla as its digital media manager. She was formerly with Mindshare Malaysia as senior media planner, working on the Unilever account for Vaseline, Lipton and Magnum.

Other appointments are Alan Tan as projects director, who joins VML Qais from Possible Worldwide, as well as the promotion of Nick Pan to digital planning director.

Commenting on the new appointments, Tripti Lochan, CEO at VML Qais, said, “We’re delighted to welcome all our new recruits on board at what is a very exciting time for the agency. Our business has three drivers of growth; through our own efforts in Singapore and India, through our global relationships driven out of VML in the US, and through our integrated marketing communications partnership with Y&R Asia.”

She went on to say that the agency has seen double-digit growth across all its business lines over the last year. “This year is also looking promising, so it’s essential that we have the best team in place to help manage this expansion.”

VML Qais is also expanding geographically, opening a second office in Singapore and more expansion plans for India to be revealed soon. VML's acquisition of a majority stake in Qais was announced last in 2011, the new entity is operating specifically as part of Y&R Asia.

VML Qais was also recently named AOR on the Dell Partner Direct business across Asia Pacific and Japan.
