Vietnam beer brand crowdsources Tet stories; the first one may leave you needing a drink

For Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration, Saigon Special beer is asking consumers to submit stories of their most memorable Tet moments. The campaign launched over the last week with a TVC (first video below) and a website for people to share their stories. It also includes new Tet packaging (below), as well as digital ads and social media.

The campaign will continue through Tet, eventually including 15 true-story videos. The first appears below (with English subtitles). Ad Nut warns that you may feel like you need a beer after hearing the harrowing tale of Mr The Minh, which involves a firefight in Cambodia, paralysis from scorpion stings and a stay in a mental institution.
