Truong will join the search giant in April. Both Truong and Google declined to comment.

Truong joined the video-advertising specialist in 2012 after a five year stint at BBC.com as VP commercial and operations. He has also worked at The Wall Street Journal and CNBC.

Earlier this month, the California-based company announced that it had secured CtrlShift as a preferred partner for its video advertising platform across Southeast Asia. The company also launched a media-buying optimization tool that it claims allows marketers to easily adjust digital-video campaigns by shifting to the inventory that is generating the best results.
