Throughout the Festival a series of academies will run, offering training for different career disciplines.

The Young Digital Academy sponsored by Ogilvy & Mather aims to help attendees master technology in the creative process. Kenny Powar, the ex-regional CEO at Possible will oversee the academy.

GroupM’s Greg Graham will provide a crash-course on creativity in media while Dave McCaughan of Bibliosexual will lead the Young Account Executive Academy, sponsored by McCann Worldgroup.

Exclusively for student creatives, Cheil is sponsoring the Young Creative Academy, which will see a host of industry veterans pass on expertise under the guidance of Noor Azhar Mohamed of the Singapore Polytechnic.

“The fact that over 1,800 of the region’s industry are at Spikes Asia means that the academies not only exist in a rich and inspiring environment but have access to some of the greatest minds and achievers in the business,” said Steve Latham, head of talent and training for the Lions Festival.

The Young Spikes competitions are held for integrated, media and digital professionals

Separately, the creative festival is conducting four competitions aimed to give the rising stars of the industry a platform to demonstrate their talents. The Young Spikes competitions are held for integrated, media and digital professionals.
