The 2018 Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity has announced that the Spikes Asia Awards are now open for entries, including a new award category, Glass: The Award for Change.

Spikes Asia is slated for 26 through 28 September in Singapore.

  • 20 July: Early-bird entry deadline
  • 17 August: Entry deadline
  • 26 September: Festival opens
  • 28 September: Spikes Asia Awards

Introduced at Cannes Lions in 2015, the Glass award recognises work that challenges gender inequality, imbalance or injustice and shatters stereotypical images of men and women which remain rooted in marketing messages.

“The creative community here in Asia Pacific are evolving and engaging with new technology and design at a dizzying speed," Joe Pullos, festival director, said. "This leads to incredibly exciting work, which Spikes Asia showcases and our juries continue to set the challenge higher each year. I’m delighted to bring the Glass Award to Spikes Asia. We believe that creativity shapes culture and in launching this Award we hope it will recognise brilliance and lead to real change across the industry and society.”
