Publicis Groupe snaps up regional events firm
Publicis Groupe has bought Asian events management group Emotion, which will become part of Publicis Events Worldwide.
Emotion, founded in 2002 by three French entrepreneurs in Tokyo, will retain its brand name. The agency focuses on high-end events with offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila and Singapore. Emotion also plans to launch in Taiwan and Hong Kong within the next year.
The move is Publicis Groupe's second major Asian foray this year, after buying China's Betterway marketing services firm in March.
