Along with the creative responsibilities for the advertising arm, Bhattacharya will oversee the responsibilities for the group’s retail and shopper marketing company The Integer Group, and its recent digital acquisition Magnon Group.

Bhattacharya started his career in the planning department of Leo Burnett Mumbai in 2001, and went on to work with various agencies in Mumbai, Singapore and Dubai.

Shiv Sethuraman, chief executive officer, TBWAIndia Group said, “As the TBWA Group in India widens its footprint to cover the vital areas of digital as well as retail and shopper marketing, we are looking to him (Bhattacharya) to take our creative work to the next level.”

Sethuraman thanked Sengupta for an "oustanding job" over the past four years: “Under his leadership, TBWA has not only produced visible and talked about work but gone on to win awards at Cannes Lions, the Clio Awards, One Show and Spikes Asia for the first time in its history. We wish him the best for his next move to pursue his other passion - movies.”
