Omnicom tops Campaign's Agency of the Year SEA shortlist

SINGAPORE – Omnicom Group leads the Southeast Asia shortlist for Campaign’s Agency of the Year 2011, with WPP Group a strong second.

Omnicom’s DDB Group Singapore has two confirmed wins for creative of the year Joji Jacob and agency head of the year David Tang, as well as making the shortlist for creative agency of the year.

Other wins for the network include account person of the year for BBDO Proximity Singapore’s Joe Braithwaite and media planner/buyer of the year for OMD Thailand’s Jinnarat Sampuntharat. Tribal DDB Singapore and Proximity Indonesia have been shortlisted for digital agency, and specialist agency of the year respectively.

WPP Group’s Mindshare Singapore is shortlisted for media agency of the year and digital agency of the year. G2 Direct Interactive Malaysia is also shortlisted for the latter award. Ogilvy Action Malaysia and Ogilvy PR Worldwide Singapore are shortlisted for specialist agency of the year.

IPG’s Lowe Indonesia and UM Malaysia are shortlisted for creative agency and media agency of the year respectively.

BBH Asia Pacific (Singapore) and ZenithOptimedia Singapore round out the shortlists for creative agency and media agency of the year.

Sub-regional judging panels comprise five to seven client marketers and a senior member of Campaign’s editorial team. The submissions are tabulated and aggregated in accordance with the judging criteria set by Campaign Asia, by the independent accountants PwC.
