OMG promotes Shel Vei Yong as associate research director

KUALA LUMPUR - Omnicom Media Group has announced the promotion of Shel Vei Yong as associate research director, consumer knowledge and insights for Asia Pacific.

In her new role, Yong will be reporting to Guy Hearn, director of communications insights for Asia Pacific.

Yong will also oversee the research and insights department for Omnicom Media Group in Malaysia and in this part of her role will report to Andreas Vogiatzakis, managing director of Omnicom Media Group Malaysia.  

Her new role will include the design and interpretation of customised client research projects and to develop insights to inform pitches and other new business activities for regional as well as local clients. She will also take a primary role on Antenna and Brand Science projects
 
Commenting on the promotion, Hearn said, “It gives me huge pleasure to announce this well-deserved promotion for Shel Vei, who, in her new role, will make a very important contribution to ensuring that we put insights, or understanding the consumer at the heart of everything we do."
 
Added Vogiatzakis, “Shel Vei has been working with our team for the last four years and has produced stellar results.  I am very proud of her and her progress and have no doubt that she will shine in this new expanded role.”
 
Shel Vei will continue to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
