OMD seeks new MD as Chang departs

TAIPEI - OMD is on the hunt for a new managing director in Taiwan following the decision of Sean Chang (pictured) to leave the agency after four years.

OMD seeks new MD as Chang departs

In the interim, Chang’s responsibilities will be split between general managers Bannie Tsai and George Shen.
Tsai, who came aboard in April after 13 years with MediaCom Taiwan, will take charge of all buying affairs and quality control, and handle key accounts, such as McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, Reckitt Benckiser, Visa, Fedex Express and Watson’s.

Shen, who joined OMD in 2005 from MEC Taiwan, will oversee the agency’s administrative operations.
Chang believes that the improvement in the Taiwanese economy and possible resumption of direct flights between the island and the mainland, calls for a “fresh look” at Taiwan.

“It is not necessary that I move to China as commuting  only takes one hour,” says Chang. “I am looking for a job with bigger scope, not a title with a bigger company.”
