T. Garuda Mataram Motor, the sole agent of the Volkswagen brand in Indonesia, began the tender process last April and selected Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia after consolidating its short list of agencies.

The winning bid offered an integrated marketing concept towards the launching of VW's top product as well as a sales concept for its participation at the upcoming Indonesia International Motor Show.

“We are delighted and honored to have won the VW business, as it is an iconic brand that believes in the power of great communication. We look forward to an enduring partnership with them in Indonesia, especially as the automotive market in Indonesia continues to grow at such a spectacular rate,” said Renuka Jaypal, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia.

Collaboration between VW and Ogilvy & Mather begins in May 2010 involving Ogilvy & Mather’s 360° solutions. VW seeks to increase sales, hold regional showcases, participate at the Indonesian Motor Show and plan to launch a new vehicle.
