PEOPLE MOVES

Amobee appointed Robert Woolfrey as senior vice-president, Asia. He will play a key role in driving the company’s continued international growth. Woolfrey was formerly managing director, APAC, for Verizon/AOL-owned advertising firm Millennial Media, and set up the company’s Asia operations in 2011.

WPP AUNZ’s Designworks appointed Daye Moffitt as national strategy director for Australia, reporting to managing director Brad Doble. Moffitt previously worked at Principals as strategy director; she joins other recent recruits Amanda Szylo-Duncan, who returns to Designworks Sydney as senior strategist, and Trish Folan, who joins as senior account director.

Fortune Indonesia appointed Irwan Wahyudianto as digital business director. Wahyudianto is experienced in digital advertising, having held roles at Telkomsel, Samsung, Gudang Garam, Unilever, Djarum, Heineken, HP Indonesia, Air Asia, and Total E & P.s 

Salesforce named Mark Innes as APAC general manager, a newly created role. He was previously SVP of Salesforce’s enterprise business in APAC, working with customers including Australia Post, Changi Airport, Cochlear, NSW Department of Family and Community Services, and Siam Commercial Bank.

BBC Worldwide ANZ appointed Dustin Lockett as its new commercial director. He will work with BBC’s global brands and oversee live events and entertainment, consumer products and home entertainment, grow their off-screen potential and the development of all ancillary brand licensing revenue streams. Lockett joins from RED Live at Seven West Media, which he joined to set up in 2014, having previously held roles at Fremantle Media, Wonderland Sydney and NIDA.

PR and Communications talent resource consultancy Prospect hired Angela Poh, former communications manager at HBO Asia, to head its Singapore office. Poh will report to co-founder & MD Emma Dale.

Leo Burnett China added four new group creative directors in Shanghai: Jazzy Chan (陈丽��) for Whisper, Eric Sun (孙孺) for Uni-President, Kevin Wu (吴志钦) for Huawei, and Kevin Zhu (诸绪) for Pfizer.

Paul Chen (陈博一) is now responsible for marketing for Hong Kong Esports as its one-month-old CMO. Before this, he was the CEO and board member for Asia Pacific at Beintoo, based in Shanghai, where he oversaw a joint venture with iDreamSky.

Henry Gao moved within Ogilvy Group to Ogilvy PR Beijing to be its creative chief after spending 27 months as motion graphic director at Ogilvy & Mather. 

Craig Chen was hired by local branding and creative agency Long Rui (龍睿品牌與創意) as deputy general manager to lead strategy development, new business and project management after gaining experience at Interbrand and Brand Union.

Michael Joyce left Ipsos Hong Kong where he was a member of the executive leadership team leading a team within the ASI division specialising in branding and advertising research. His new role is the regional lead for digital projects at Chubb, based in Singapore.

Diane Lee has a new job as the performance operations director at PHD China, following a couple of short stints: nine months as head of e-commerce at Performics China and seven months as business development director at Alimama.

After joining VF Corporation in 2014 as senior director of strategy for APAC across all portfolio brands (Vans, North Face, Timberland, Lee/Wrangler, Kipling etc), Fabio Stefani was promoted to vice president of strategy.

Carmen Jiang has relocated to Hong Kong and expanded her remit in the hospitality industry as the senior director of marketing and communication at Imperial Pacific International Holdings. Prior to this, she was the director of communications at The Temple House under Swire Hotels in Chengdu.

Hubert Yeung has been promoted to associate creative director from senior art director at Publicis Hong Kong, while still assisting in the Chow Tai Fook, Nestlé, Tempo, AXA and Cartier accounts.

Willi Zhou is now tackling key advertising accounts for Alibaba Group, based in Hangzhou after a string of digital-focused positions at L’Oréal, Mediacom, MEC and BMW while living in Shanghai.

BUSINESS WINS

BBDO’s interactive marketing and CRM network Proximity China was appointed digital and social agency of record for Adidas China, following a three-round competitive pitch. The agency will be responsible for all Adidas sports performance business categories in China, covering digital and social strategy and content, creative, technology implementation, platform management, data analytics and management.

OCBC Bank appointed Optimedia Malaysia (under the Publicis One umbrella) as its media agency, after a pitch process involving IPG Media Lab as well as People 'n Rich-H. The agency takes over the account from incumbent Carat Malaysia. Alongside the win of OCBC, Publicis One media also won Air Asia SEM across 16 countries, Courts E-commerce and Visa.

OOH media company Asiaray Media Group Limited was appointed as the exclusive advertising agency of the 2016 FIA Formula E Hong Kong ePrix, following a competitive tender. Apart from the LED walls and trackside banners at the racing venue, the key locations where media from around the world will be capturing images, Asiaray will also be managing the advertising spaces of the public areas including the spectator fences, the Man Yiu Street footbridge connecting Central Ferry Pier and International Finance Center, and Central Terminal Building (Pier 7 & 8).

Ocean Park Corporation and Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong appointed Ogilvy PR for a public relations remit. The agency will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic PR programmes, driving visitation and supporting Ocean Park’s CSR initiatives.

Global online food delivery company foodpanda renewed its ongoing contract with Text100 to lead its communication strategy in Hong Kong. Text100 will continue to provide strategic counsel to reinforce foodpanda’s reputation and market share across Hong Kong.

Haystac in Australia has won the PR account for electronic payments company eftpos. The agency will help eftpos bring several new products to the Australian market, as well as working on digital content, social media and activations. 

Online travel platform Kayak has hired The Hoffman Agency as it's agency of record in Singapore. Hoffman will advise Kayak.sg on traditional and social media management, as the brand looks to build its reputation in Singapore.

J. Walter Thompson Singapore launched JWT25, a new quick-response online video and content production offering. JWT25 is an offering of Chameleon Content, which was set up in Singapore 2011 as a regional production hub for several key brands for JWT offices worldwide, is led by Gerri Hamill, director of broadcast and content at JWT Singapore.

Media & Production Partners (MPP), a full-service agency specialising in media planning and buying and production services launched in Sydney.  The agency is founded by Jimmy Hyett, and launched with $10 million in billings and founding clients including Care Pharmaceuticals and The Color Run.
