Maxus wins local baby food account

GUANGZHOU - Maxus China has been awarded the Jiangxi Mate Best media account, including media buying and planning, without a pitch.

The three-year contract covers all media, including digital. This marks the first time Mate Best has appointed a media agency.

Mate Best's most popular product series include Mate Best Qingqingbao, Mate Best Haoweibao, Mate Best Rice Cereal and Mate Best Milk Partner.

"Maxus China has powerful consumer insights. We know what mothers are looking for when they shop for baby food and we have the capability to integrate different media touch points to engage these mothers," said Stephanie Li, managing director at Maxus Guangzhou, "With Maxus' global insight and strong local communication planning capability, we are looking forward to help Mate Best be the leading brand in its category."

Annie Hsiao, president of Maxus China, said the agency is very keen to bring to the market some of the creative ideas they have for the brand.

"Maxus' working expertise and insight into the lower tier markets, coupled with GroupM's trading advantage, are the reasons we won this business," she said.
