Mandel to replace Sipple at Yahoo SEA

ASIA-PACIFIC - Ken Mandel will join Yahoo as VP and regional MD of Southeast Asia, after resigning his roles as regional CEO of Neo@Ogilvy and OgilvyOne VP of digital almost one month ago (Media, 16 October).

Mandel takes on a role at the online company which includes oversight of the portal and product across all of its Southeast Asian markets. “I wanted to be involved in something that is platform based and is very important for the future of the digital industry,” said Mandel. “The people that own content are playing more of a key role.”

Mandel will report to Yahoo VP of international emerging markets Keith Nilsson, who is also based in Singapore. “Mandel’s experience in the digital space will add to our solid operational presence in Asia,” said Nilsson.

He joins Yahoo after former Southeast Asia MD Tom Sipple relocated back to the US.
