Lowe integrates with McCann in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Lowe and McCann Erikson, both subsidiaries of Interpublic Group, will launch a 'double-door strategy' in Taiwan, aiming to share back-end resources to bolster front-end services.

Lowe integrates with McCann in Taiwan
“Nothing will change as far as client services is concerned,” said general manager of Lowe Taiwan, Gary Chi, who will retain that title and also serve as assistant to the CEO of McCann Erickson Taiwan.

“I will be the man responsible to insure that the backend integration will proceed smoothly,” said Chi.

Lowe will keep all creative and account staff, but there will be an ongoing review of employees in backend.
Chi will continue to report to Lowe Worldwide while reporting financially to the CEO of McCann. The two agencies occupy offices in the same building in Taipei.

Lowe’s clients in Taiwan include Johnson & Johnson, Wyeth Consumer Health, William Grant & Sons.

In recent pitches, Lowe won Mode Maire, Taiwan’s third largest lingerie maker, and the soysauce and instant noodle accounts of VeWong.

Another factor that made the cooperation possible is that there are no conflicting accounts between the two agencies.
