Longyin launches new creative event

HONG KONG - Chief editor and publisher of the Longyin Review, Jimmy Lam, will launch the Longyin Circle in Hong Kong, an organisation set to cater to people from both the advertising and creative industries.

Longyin launches new creative event

According to Lam, executives in the advertising and creative industries commonly deal with significant levels of stress, and rarely find the time to broaden their social network outside of a work environment. Lam said Longyin Circle gatherings would typically last about three hours, and be held every two to three months — and would be only open to those in the creative and advertising industries.

“Creative people are too intense and need to recharge themselves. So, within the creative circle, we can bring in very senior people to share their experience and wisdom, and create connections in a non-competitive environment,” Lam said.

Leo Burnett regional creative director Linda Locke is the first speaker for the Hong Kong launch event, which is slated for mid-May.

Recruitment will be handled through word-of-mouth and ads.
