GLOBAL - Korea-based LG Electronics has called a global pitch for its US$2 million public relations account.

According to reports, LG is looking to consolidate its PR business with one agency that will represent the brand across its eight key regions, including three markets in Asia: Asia-Pacific, China, Korea, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa and the US.

The agencies vying for the account are reportedly Burson-Marsteller, which manages the account in Korea; US and Russia incumbent Ogilvy PR; Latin America incumbent Porter-Novelli; and Hill & Knowlton.

The pitch is slated to take place in Seoul on Thursday.
