SHANGHAI - Isobar is to set up a production hub in China as it looks to capitalise on the emerging trend for clients to offshore digital production into low-cost markets.

Isobar plans China production hub, promotes Lin
The move follows the promotion of Jean Lin (pictured), founder and CEO of Isobar unit wwwins Consulting, to the role of global chief strategy officer at Isobar.

The Chinese production hub will service Asian clients. There are already hubs in London, India, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

“Outsourcing is a key area for us,” said Lin. “The key focus for the next 12 months is to leverage our web build capability better.”

She added: “The emphasis of group is now on Asia. We are putting Asia at the core of our global strategy. The speed to market in China is really fast. We need to be able to leverage that for clients.”

In her new role Lin will report to Nigel Morris, CEO of Isobar Global. Isobar is part of Aegis Media.

Lin is succeeded as CEO of wwwins by Deirdre McGlashan, who has worked at Isobar Global in London for the past three years.
