IHG aligns global media with Mindshare

LONDON - Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has selected Mindshare as its global strategic planning agency in a move to consolidate media planning and buying across all brands.

IHG aligns global media with Mindshare
Media duties for the portfolio, which includes Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites, were previously divided between around twelve agencies.

According to a statement from IHG’s chief marketing officer, Tom Seddon, the company was seeking a media partner that would “deliver innovation, good value, and great service”.

The account will be led out of London and New York, in alignment with hubs in Singapore, Shanghai and Atlanta. The transition will take effect from next month.
