Historical venues, modern events

Take advantage of the Philippines' fascinating past as a backdrop for gala dinners and functions

Historical venues, modern events

Ayala Museum
The Ayala Museum’s lobby offers a historical setting for intimate dinners for 80 people and cocktail receptions for up to 200 people.
It provides a unique opportunity for guests to dine in the midst of remarkable works of art. For overseas visitors, the Philippine Diorama, a permanent display, provides a look at Philippines’ history.
“We have staged one-of-a-kind events at the Ayala Museum for Manila-based corporate clients as well as international events,” says Gigi Bautista, managing director of GBA Events Asia.
“It was our choice venue for an appreciation cocktail event hosted by Amanpulo, an Aman Resort in the southern part of the Philippines, for its 200 Manilabased clients.”

Intramuros
Intramuros’s old-world charm provides the perfect backdrop for guests who want to relive a bygone era in Philippine history.
A walking tour of the walled city takes visitors back in time, when Intramuros was the seat of Spanish colonial rule.
A leisurely walk through a cobblestone pathway leads to Puerto Real where cosy dinners can be arranged for a maximum of 120 people. An elegant meal can also be set up at Father Blanco’s Garden, which has a capacity of 600 in the surrounds of its bonsai garden.
One of the major historic fortifications of the walled city is the 800-guest capacity Baluarte de San Diego, whose appeal comes from the dramatic ruins that surround it.
Pre-dinner activities can include a tour of the old churches such as the San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral.
