Grey promotes Evans to head GSK biz

SINGAPORE - Grey has promoted Tom Evans (pictured) to executive vice president, regional client services director to head its GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) business across Asia-Pacific.

The appointment will be effective January 1st 2009. As previously reported by Media (30 October), Evans, Grey’s Procter & Gamble (P&G) head for Asean, Australia and India (AAI) and for GSK, would move to work full-time on GSK as the network restructures in Asia-Pacific in line with P&G’s overhaul of its own management structure.

According to a statement: “GSK is now one of our fastest growing clients in Asia and given this growth and performance, Tom is shifting to focus 100 per cent of his energy on GSK Asia-Pacific.”

Currently based in Singapore, Evans has been with Grey for 17 years, working on clients including Kraft, Mars, Unilever, 3M and Sara Lee, and has held postings at Grey offices in New York, London, Paris and Sao Paulo.
