Samsung Galaxy S3 shatters Android pre-order record

Samsung’s Galaxy S3 – freshly reviewed here – is set to outsell even its wildly popular precursor, the Galaxy S II. That’s if it can continue to sell as fast as pre-orders suggest it will.

According to Vodafone (speaking to The Inquirer), the Galaxy S3 has smashed previous pre-order records for Android handsets, while UK retailer Carphone Warehouse says it’s the biggest-selling pre-order of 2012. Read more...

Rumour – iPhone 5 to sport 3.9in screen

The next iPhone could sport a 3.9-inch Retina Display with a resolution of 1136 x 640. 9to5 Mac claims to have been told that Apple is testing multiple prototypes of the next generation iPhone, at least two of which feature this new, larger screen. The iPhone 4S has a 3.5-inch 960 x 640 display, so the prototype stretches it a little (the width stays the same, the length increases by half an inch) but keeps the same Retina Display pixel density.
