Fresh Facebook designs leak out

GLOBAL - Facebook is reported to be considering yet more tweaks to its design only months after its last set of changes sparked more than a million complaints from users.

The changes are said to include adjustments to the Facebook homepage and involve an effort to make search a more central feature of the social networking site.

Other tweaks include a unified navigation bar, according to the screen shots on French technology blog PCinpact.com.

The biggest change is to its homepage. A previous modification caused uproar in the Spring when Facebook angered users and was forced to make speedy changes to give users more control over what sort of updates appeared on their pages.

The shots also show notifications could be on the move, switching from the bottom-right to the top-left along with mail, tweaks to the photo uploader, and drop-down menus introduced to access chat and messages. Facebook has not confirmed whether the pages shown by PCinpact.com are authentic.

Take a look at the new Facebook pages.
