E*Trade launches campaign

HONG KONG - E*Trade has launched a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign in Hong Kong in an effort to bolster its brand amid the recession.

The campaign targets local retail investors to promote new product E*Trade Pro, which functions as an online equity trading platform.

The promotion includes tie-ins with finance portals including Yahoo! Finance, eFINET, and AASTOCKs to display videos and banner ads, as well as TVCs and outdoor displays near MTR stations.

Agencies Bates141, Buzz Communications and OMD helped develop the campaign, which will run from March until May.
