Dentsu's &C. wins Shanghai Volkswagen's CRM

SHANGHAI - Shanghai Volkswagen has awarded its CRM account in China to Dentsu's online ad agency &C. following a competitive pitch.

Paul Hu, director and head of brand marketing for Volkswagen Group China, confirmed the news.

Local reports added that the pitch began in December of last year and involved OgilvyOne and incumbent G2 Shanghai.

&C. is the joint venture between Dentsu and Hua Kuang Advertising, a subsidiary of Focus Media, launched in August 2008.

In November, Shanghai Volkswagen awarded its Passat account to DDB China. The award was part of a larger review for its creative and strategic business for its Passat, Polo, Touran and Santana models in China.
