Chajet to lead Interbrand expansion in China

SHANGHAI - Branding consultancy Interbrand has promoted Jonathan Chajet (pictured), formerly Asia-Pacific strategy director, to lead its operation in China as managing director.

Chajet's appointment to the newly created position comes as the firm plans expansion from its headquarters in Shanghai to Beijing and Guangzhou.

In his two-year stint as strategy director for the region, Chajet oversaw accounts for clients such as Samsung, Wrigley, American Standard and John Deere. He has also worked as executive director of brand strategy at Omnicom sister agency Siegel & Gale, and as senior associate at Mercer Management Consulting.

Among Interbrand’s clients in China are Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, Wrigley, Holiday Inn, Vanke, Huawei and China Merchants.
