In the game, available at the campaign mini-site Carlsberg.com.hk/rugby7, players control a naked streaker featuring their own uploaded photo down a rugby pitch, dodging obstacles such as bottles and policewomen. The fastest players to complete the obstacle course will be in the running for prizes including free tickets to the event and Carlsberg rugby jerseys.
In addition, players can choose to feature their streaker avatar photos and corresponding score on their Facebook newsfeed and photo album.
Aside from online, the campaign will be featured in bars throughout Hong Kong via roadshow trucks, promotional girls, and stadium booths during the tournament.
“The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens is a fantastic action-packed weekend for rugby fans, and Carlsberg wanted to reflect that atmosphere to help engage players in the game,” noted Louis Lau, marketing director of Carlsberg Hong Kong.
This year’s Hong Kong Rugby Sevens tournament will take place on 25 to 27 March at the Hong Kong Stadium.
