2018 Cannes contenders: 'Rhythm of love wall' by ADK Taiwan

7-Eleven tried to applaud donors—rather robotically—for their acts of charity.

2018 Cannes contenders: 'Rhythm of love wall' by ADK Taiwan
We asked creative leaders from across the region choose the work they expect (or hope) to see winning at Cannes Lions this year. See all this year's Cannes contenders.

Contender: 'Rhythm of Love Wall'
Agency: ADK Taiwan
Client: 7-Eleven

Nominated by:

Ng Tian It, CCO, McCann Worldgroup China:

I reckon most would put their hands together for this very smart and eye-catching installation that literally applauds every act of do-good donation.

Kit Koh, ECD, BBDO South China:

Taiwan’s advertising is famous for its delicate and emotional storytelling. Such strength is demonstrated in this campaign for 7-Eleven. Based on a simple insight that every coin donated deserves a big hand of encouragement, they created a wall of hands in-store that activates a round of applause every time a coin is received. This simple yet to-the-point idea deserves our applause.
