Buxton-Leow departs MediaCorp Publishing

SINGAPORE - Media industry veteran Joanne Buxton-Leow (pictured), VP of marketing for MediaCorp Publishing, has left the company after a five-year tenure.

Buxton-Leow departs MediaCorp Publishing
The highly-regarded Singaporean has teamed up with creative producer Kuo Po to co-manage the entertainment consultancy Precious Entertainment.

She will handle business development and marketing as the company looks to expand across the region, primarily into Indonesia and China.

Buxton-Leow, who was formerly publisher of Elle Singapore, oversaw the launch of 55 events for 16 different titles during her time running MediaCorp Publishing's marketing department.

"I began my career with MediaCorp in 1989, and came back five years ago. It has been a tremendous company to work for. I will miss my colleagues awfully, but owning my own business was too big a temptation."

Jessie Sng, MediaCorp Publishing's senior vice president of operations, has assumed Buxton-Leow's duties. She heads up marketing, circulation and
customised publishing.
