Bates141 China and Taiwan CEO, Arthur Yu will go back to managing its China operation.

According to a statement from chairman Jeffrey Yu, Leung’s move has “relieved Arthur Yu from overseeing the SGM business which he has done fantastically well, but depriving himself of sleep as well as full attention to the overall management of the much bigger China operation.”

“Our China operation is a mammoth job for Arthur. The combination of two very senior persons like Arthur and Barry, serving different and complementary roles, will make us very competitive in China.”

In Singapore, CEO Peter Skalberg (pictured) has been made regional director for Southeast Asia with “a new challenge to grow its Heineken business on a global and regional basis as well as developing our next generation of regional clients”, according to the chairman’s statement.

Edward Pank has also been promoted to take over the management of its Singapore operation, as general manager.

Former GM Craig Mapleston had left to join Iris Singapore as its managing director in January.
