Relocating from Mumbai, India, Correya will be responsible for growing Affle’s business in the country. His appointment follows the launch of new partnerships and investments by Affle in Indonesia during last year.

Correya will build strategic partnerships for increasing Affle’s product penetration and its mobile ad sales representation business, while driving forward the mobile marketing solutions offering for business partners and brand owners.

The appointment was announced by Ben Fones, executive director at Affle. “We are thrilled to welcome Siddarth back to the Affle family as we shift the company’s operations into a higher gear in Indonesia for 2012," Fones said. "In his previous stint with Affle between 2007 and 2008, he built long term relationships with business partners and executed various campaigns. We are confident that he will bring the same energy and excitement to Affle’s Indonesia business.”

Correya joined Affle India in November 2007 as the associate director for business development where he single-handedly increased Affle India’s advertising revenues by almost 30 per cent.

He was also instrumental in growing Affle’s key agency relationship with GroupM and successfully forged one of the largest mobile advertising partnerships with Nokia.

Commenting on his appointment, Correya said, “I am very happy to reunite with Affle, and even more eager to start working with the team and initiate a follow through on the impressive business portfolio built by the company last year.”

He went on to say that this year is going to be an exciting one for the Indonesia market as the agency strengthens the core of its business operations by taking on new strategic plans for 2012 with the help of a bigger team. “I am looking forward to drive the company’s growth to greater heights by leading the mobile evangelisation in the market as I work closely with both media agencies and advertisers.”

He was most recently with Nokia Location and Commerce as the regional head for advertising sales in West and South India. He was previously at One97 Communications as the general manager for enterprise sales, where he initiated business development growth in South India.
