ASIA-PACIFIC - Aegis is hunting a chief executive for Asia Pacific but has denied that the move throws the position of current Aegis Media chairman/CEO Patrick Stahle (pictured) into question.

Aegis looks for Asia CEO; denies Stahle to leave
A headhunter’s brief is currently circulating the industry for the CEO role.

Stahle has held the lead role at Aegis Media Asia-Pacific since October 2006 after a yearlong search to replace David Liu, who had held the position for seven years.

A statement from Aegis read: "Aegis Media Asia-Pacific can confirm that, as a routine part of succession planning, a search has been commissioned to review senior management talent in the regional market from external sources. This search forms part of the group's regular succession planning, which also considers internal talent."

Stahle added: "Like any successful agency, we have our eyes open to external talent and on occasion we trawl the market to identify interesting candidates."
