2019 Cannes contenders: 'The dance' by DDB New Zealand
We asked creative leaders from across the region choose the work they expect (or hope) to see winning at Cannes Lions this year. See all this year's Cannes contenders.

Contender: The Dance
Agency: DDB New Zealand
Client: Speights

Nominated by:

Daniel Galeano and Facundo Martinelli, associate creative directors, Marcel Sydney:

Speights beer has a long history of creativity, but also a real bloke beer. This spot starts to give a new perspective on what makes a man in the alcohol category. It’s about truly caring for you mates, not just hanging out drinking a beer. Fantastic storytelling, amazing acting and a fresh take on the category. Speights continues to their high creative standards while beautifully adapting to the times.
