2018 Cannes contenders: 'Start talking' by Naked

This campaign for the Gidget Foundation brought perinatal depression to light with a surprising reveal.

2018 Cannes contenders: 'Start talking' by Naked
We asked creative leaders from across the region choose the work they expect (or hope) to see winning at Cannes Lions this year. See all this year's Cannes contenders.

Contender: Start talking
Agency: Naked Communications Sydney
Client: Gidget Foundation Australia

Nominated by:

Dan Saunders, ECD, Redengine:

‘Start Talking’ brings to light the issue of post natal depression, via this powerful film. Emotive and moving, we hear what we think is a mother’s feelings about her husband; only to reveal she is actually talking about her child. Hopefully the campaign brings this issue to light, and will help families across Australia to seek the help that is there, to support them.
