Banks and tobacco dominate first Indonesia BrandZ ranking

Millward Brown has released its inaugural BrandZ ranking of the most valuable brands in Indonesia. Topping the list, banking giant BCA's US$9.9 billion value places it just short of the global BrandZ top 100 ranking, "putting it on track to become the first Indonesian brand to enter the ranking in 2016", according to Millward Brown. The company also notes that the combined value of the Top 50 ($64.6 billion) is close to that of the Top 50 Indian brands ($69.6 billion) but only one-seventh of the value held by China’s Top 50. The Top 5 Indonesian brands account for 57 per cent of the overall Top 50 value, similar to the concentration of value seen in India, China and Brazil. Here, the brand value for the top 10 Indonesian brands.
