This eight-plus-minute film has its origins in a true story about a Hong Kong man who took his 3-year-old daughter on an 11-day bicycle tour of Taiwan, an act that somehow did not end in insanity and instead created "priceless memories" (the company assures us). Hong Kong actor/singer Aaron Kwok stars in the shot-on-location film alongside an adorable sprite identified only as Peony.
It's well-made and cute, and Ad Nut isn't made of stone. So yes, it's mildly touching.
Still...it doesn't make Ad Nut want to run out and buy insurance. Moreover, one must wonder when touching, long-form videos (often about father-daughter relationships) on behalf of insurance companies will start to become indistinguishable and thus not very effective—especially when they appear amongst touching long-form videos about family relationships on behalf of travel retailers, restaurant chains, telecom service providers and makers of underwear.
