Johnnie Walker introduces massive 'Joy' campaign

Global campaign: 'Joy will take you further', for Johnnie Walker by Anomaly

Johnnie Walker introduces massive 'Joy' campaign

Brightly coloured hot-air balloons spelling out the word 'joy' in a flawless blue sky? This is not your father's dour, sepia-toned, whisky ad.

Johnnie Walker's biggest-ever global campaign will activate simultaneously in more than 50 countries and reach nearly 270 million consumers within its first weeks, according to Diageo.

The online and TV spot below introduces a new strapline, 'Joy will take you further', although 'Keep walking' still appears at the end. The ad includes actors Jude Law and Zhao Wei, F1 driver Jenson Button and the band OK Go.

The campaign will include "significant investment in mentoring and customer experiences" as well as print and digital advertising, point of sale materials and digital content.

Anomaly replaced longtime incumbent BBH as Johnnie Walker’s global creative agency in December 2014.
