PEOPLE MOVES

J. Walter Thompson Sydney promoted Paul Everson to managing director from his most recent posution as general manager. In his new role, Everson oversees the agency's business in Sydney and Perth with more than 20 clients on the roster. 

Williams Lea Tag promoted Toby Codrington to chief executive officer, APAC, from his previous position as client officer. Having spent over a decade with the agency, Codrington is also chief marketing officer. 

[m]Platform appointed Regan Baillie as managing director in Singapore. She is also the managing director of Xaxis in Singapore.

Audio Network, which provides music for film, television and digital media, promoted Jess Ossington to general manager for APAC. She was previously operations director.

Red Agency promoted Grant Richmond Coggan to business director.

Lampoon Group appointed Emma Barrett as head of public relations.

AppsFlyer appointed Himanshu Kulkarni as India Sales Director.

PointNine Lintas, part of MullenLowe Lintas Group, appointed Ameer Ismail as chief growth officer, Sumanta Ganguly as national director, digital marketing and transformation, and Sriharsh Grandhe as national director, consumer engagement. The three will retain their divisional responsibilities for GolinOpinion, LinTeractive and LinEngage, respectively.

The Core Agency appointed Rob Kain to lead a new customer experience offering. He has spent the past nine years in senior marketing roles, most recently as chief marketing officer for the Anytime Fitness Group.

Edelman appointed Tantri Kadiman-Beekelaar as head of corporate in Indonesia. She has experience in both agency and client positions including stints at Bosch & Siemens Appliances Group Indonesia, Triputra Agro Persadaand most recently communications director at a local communications advisory consultancy.

Yayvo hired Shahzad Anwar, previously the chief commercial officer for Daraz at Rocket Internet, as its head of commercial.

Bonanza Garments Industries hired Nida Siddiqui to head the ecommerce division of the fashion apparel line.

In Pakistan, Jump Activations announced a merger with Circuit Draft FCB, which will see the CEO of Circuit, Gibran Mir become CEO at Jump, while the MD of Jump, Yasir Herekar, becomes MD of Jump and COO of Circuit. Jump Activations also appointed Faraz Leghari, previously of Leo Burnett, as its client service director.

Rolls-Royce appointed Text100 as its communications agency across Southeast Asia. (Read more)

Schroders appointed antics@play to for digital branding strategy and ad campaign creative support of a multi-asset income (MAI) campaign in Singapore. The campaign was Schroders’ first ATL campaign in Singapore following its recent brand refresh. The agency was also appointed by Evian as its regional lead agency to launch its 'Oversize' campaign in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The agency will be in-charge of the campaign's PR, creative vision and media communication strategy.

Deliveroo appointed AKA Asia as its PR agency following a competitive pitch. The retainer agreement will see AKA Asia providing creative campaign support spanning social and traditional communications, helping drive brand awareness in line with Deliveroo’s expansion and development in Singapore.

Shoe and leathergoods brand ECCO appointed DeVries Global as its communications agency, to spearhead their PR in Taiwan.

Enterprise Asia named Eastwest Public Relations as PR partner for the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) 2017 Singapore Chapter.

MGM China has appointed a combined team from OMD and Xaxis to handle the media strategy for the US$3.3 billion MGM Cotai resort, which will be launched during the fourth quarter. J Walter Thompson, which was appointed as agency of record in January, led the selection of the two media specialists, and will oversee the partnership as integrated agency lead. OMD will be responsible for integrated media strategy, planning and buying in Guangzhou and Hong Kong and also oversee all ATL, search and social assets across Hong Kong and China. Xaxis will handle all programmatic display and video advertising across targeted territories in Asia Pacific.

Best of British appointed Reuter Communications to handle The Best of British Show, taking place at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 19 to 22 October and spotlighting British products, design, culture, education and innovation. 

DDB Group Hong Kong won a four-way pitch to handle brand-communication strategy and creative for a new brand campaign for The Peak Galleria, owned and managed by Hang Lung Properties.

RTG Holdings appointed Ruder Finn Asia to manage LiHO, a tea beverage brand that has more than 80 outlets in Singapore and specialises in cheese tea.

Jump Activations won the social and digital account for the 'I Am The Change' CSR initiative of the Engro Foundation.

Greek yogurt company Chobani selected Edelman Australia to deliver integrated campaigns that will encompass brand communications, corporate affairs, government relations, earned media, influencer engagement, content production and digital design. 

Active watch brand Luminox awarded Prime its PR and communication retainer in Hong Kong. Prime will execute the media launch of the brand's seasonal collections and social media campaigns focusing on KOL engagement.

BeIN Asia Pacific launched beIN Sports Connect in Thailand. The service offers local football fans access to football from the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, LaLiga, Serie A, Ligue 1, MLS, and more. 

A merger between strategic PR consultancy ICON International Communications and boutique ad agency chris+geoff has formed the Daylight Agency, primarily based in Sydney.

Mirum Singapore, an Adobe Global Premier Partner, and Mirum China (formerly 3Ti) announced WeChat integration with Adobe Campaign (part of the Adobe Marketing Cloud suite). The integration gives marketers the ability to launch marketing campaigns in China through WeChat directly from Adobe Campaign.
