Unilab selects Mediacom after 10 years with SMG

Pharma giant Unilab moves on to Mediacom after 10 years with Starcom Mediavest Group.

Philippines-based pharmaceutical company Unilab has picked Mediacom as its media agency, after almost 16 years with incumbent Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG).

Both SMG and Mediacom did not comment. Mediacom won the business following a pitch, Campaign Asia-Pacific has learned.

Unilab is the largest pharma company in the Philippines, holding a 20 percent market share. It handles brands including Enervon, Ceelin and Biogesic.

Last June, Unilab renewed its association with SMG for both traditional and digital media.
