TripAdvisor seeks ad agencies for creative challenge

SINGAPORE – TripAdvisor is challenging Singaporean travel brands and advertising agencies to design a creative ad campaign that will run on its website between August and October.

The winning campaign will receive US$100,000 in CPM value

The winning entry on the TripAdvisor Singapore site will receive US$100,000 in equivalent CPM advertising media value.

TripAdvisor said the challenge gives the industry an opportunity to showcase its creativity through online ad display.

Martin Verdon-Roe, vice-president of display sales for EMEAA at TripAdvisor, said, "The 2012 Creative Challenge gives travel brands the freedom to develop an engaging media campaign that tells a story and shows what their brand really stands for, rather than just focusing on the more traditional ROI price point creative that is so common online.”

The 2010 TripAdvisor creative ad challenge was won by British Airways, with the advert receiving 12.5 million ad impressions during the campaign period and the interaction rate on the banner exceeding 1.65 per cent.

All entries must be submitted by 31 May 2012, with the winning campaigns runnig on TripAdvisor between August and October 2012. To enter, email [email protected].
