A Father's Journey


Challenge

Our idea not only needs to cater for the perferance of Chinese audience from different backgrounds,but also be required to show the social status quo of modern China positively by adopting a warm style. Apart from that, creating and producing time was also limited.


Insight and Idea

The idea of this video was based on a real news story: a migrant worker was not able to go home for the Spring Festival. For the reunion, his father who took hometown specialty from home embarked on an arduous journey to the city where the worker was living. Fortunately, they meet each other in the end. The story reflected the reality that it is hard for most Chinese people who work far away from home to achieve a balance between family affection and life. This video also conveyed the warmth of kinship between father and son.

Planning & Execution

The Spring Festival film team of Veravom only spent 2 month in submitting Creative proposal and shooting. They crossed a number of provinces to complete this production.
