Escape to Serenity

Phuket Yacht Haven (PYH), a family-owned superyacht marina in Thailand, was undergoing a dramatic redesign and modernisation project. After working with several other consultants and experiencing significant delays, they asked us to help reposition the brand to attract luxury yacht owners and travelers. They wanted a new brand identity to match the updated luxury facilities, while staying true to the marina’s roots and satisfying several generations of stakeholders.

Planning & Execution

Knowing that we had to satisfy multiple stakeholders (across three generations), each with their own idea about what the future of the brand should look like, we strategically approached the identity development process. Our work resulted in a logo and brand identity that elevated the marina’s status to an up-scale, luxury port while perfectly balancing concerns of both the modern and more traditional stakeholders.

We then carried the identity through to support PYH’s re-launch, incorporating in all components of the property from branded applications to wayfinding for over 30 signs. We also developed a website and marketing communications strategy, including social media, to reintroduce the brand.

Effectiveness / Results

After a successful launch, Phuket Yacht Haven is welcoming more superyachts to its marina than ever before. The on-site restaurant, amenities and pool are also enjoying the brand’s success, and have become must-see destinations in Phuket.
