What is the 'Chinese speed'? A documentary about business creativity

SHANGHAI - Many still believe that the West churns out creative business thinkers by a dozen per hundred, while China is largely a land of 'cheap and rough' makers and idea-less learners. A self-funded documentary tries to reverse-engineer that elitist view.

In-depth interviews with Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, WeChat, BlueFocus and Bona Film Group showcase how a new generation of outstanding Chinese enterprises demonstrates creative business ideas to the global market.

Film director Onicek He, also ROI Festival founder cum ‎CEO at Asia ICC Group, wanted to "let the world know that China has been silently nourishing creative development" and that the documentary allows more people to see the pace of innovation in China—a breakthrough when the country is considered to have started from a blank slate in terms of creativity in business and design.

It explains the 'Chinese speed', but also purports that China is not only about speed.
