Tourism New Zealand promises five extreme thrills in one day

SYDNEY - Tourism New Zealand, with Whybin TBWA Sydney, has created a compelling film promoting '5X1NZ', a package that allows thrill-seekers to skydive, snowboard, mountain bike, bungy-jump and jetboat in a single day.

Client: Tourism New Zealand, in partnership with STA Travel

Agency: Whybin\TBWA\ Sydney, Eleven PR

Market: Unknown, presumably global (we're checking with the agency, but everyone's at Spikes Asia) New Zealand

Campaign scope: Video, website, possibly more (we're checking with the agency, but everyone's at Spikes Asia)

Background: The film, by director Justin McMillan and starring extreme athlete Chuck Berry, shows Berry completing all five sports in an hour. Mere mortals will require a day to take part in all five activities. The website offers a behind-the-scenes video and further details of the 5X1NZ experience.

Press release quote: Adam Lee, group head, Whybin\TBWA Sydney: “The 5X1NZ is a great concept for two reasons; it makes people wonder and talk about what it must be like to do all five sports in a single day and it demonstrates how many amazing things you can do in New Zealand in such a small area.”

Comments: Geronimooooooooo! Yippeeeeeeeee! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod. Look out! Phew.
